Applying to Lyndon is easy. Below are the basics. Details are in the links at the left.
Applications
First-Year Students
- Complete and submit the application with the fee. The fee for submitting the application online is $25. The fee for submitting the paper application is $38.
- Submit the paper application:
- If you have a fee waiver from your guidance counselor
- If you must pay the fee via check
- If you apply online, you must pay the fee online
- Have your SATs or ACTs sent to us if you believe they will help your application Lyndon is an SAT-optional college: Good SATs can help you, but poor SATs will not hurt you.
- Provide a 250 word statement (required) describing a time in your life when you felt motivated to accomplish something and how you met the challenge
- Submit your transcript(s) to us. In most cases, we base our admissions decisions on all work completed through the end of the junior year. We may determine that we would like further evidence of your academic preparedness, in which case we may request senior year grades. If you believe you may qualify for an ACG grant from your state, you must submit to us a list of the courses you will be taking in your senior year. For GED students, we must have copies of all high school transcripts of academic work completed prior to leaving high school, as well as an official transcript of your GED.
- Submit 2-3 letters of recommendation that speak to your academic and social preparedness.
Transfer Students
- Complete and submit the application with the fee. The fee for submitting the application online is $25. The fee for submitting the paper application is $38
- Submit all transcripts from all previous college work completed
- Submit high school transcript if you do not have a college transcript showing that you've received a bachelor's degree
- Submit one letter of recommendation

Graduate Education Students
International Students
Reapplicants
Students who applied to Lyndon within the past two years, chose not to attend, and wish to be reconsidered, may complete the reapplication for admission.
Readmits
Students who were dismissed from Lyndon may apply for readmission after 1-2 semesters of strong academic work at another institution.
