Music Business and Industry, B.S.

DEGREE PROGRAM
Music Business and Industry

CONCENTRATIONS
Business
Digital Media
Music

New in 2007.
Our new Music Business and Industry degree program gives students the opportunity to translate their love of music into a profitable, exciting career. The program equips students to meet the demands of the contemporary industry through creative and supportive use of curriculum, technology, and industry partnerships.

What are you interested in?
Choosing from concentrations in music, business, or digital media, students will build a foundation for success in a variety of career fields both in and outside of the recording studio. Our curriculum will address the changing trends and markets of the 21st century. Students will become familiar with such pressing industry issues as contract negotiation, legalities, and copywriting.

A hands-on experience.
Outside the classroom, students will have access to internship opportunities within the state of Vermont or as far as New York City and Nashville. Students will be given the opportunity to work one-on-one with industry experts, allowing students to jump-start their career prior to graduation with hands-on experience. This real world experience combined with a full understanding of crucial business issues will prepare graduates for success in careers such as management, sales, marketing, or studio tech.
