Application Timeline
Freshman & Sophomore Years
Learn about college requirements and continue exploring careers (try job shadowing and getting involved in extracurricular activities at school).  Keep in mind which classes satisfy college requirements.

Junior Year, Fall and Winter
Think about your reasons for attending college. What are your career goals? Begin a list of colleges that have programs of interest to you. Is Lyndon State College on that list?

Find out the name of your LSC admissions counselor, introduce yourself, and start a valuable relationship with someone who is there to help you during the application process. Register for spring SAT/ACT.

Junior Year, Spring
Schedule a visit to Lyndon State. Student guided tours are available throughout the year. Attend a college fair in your area... and stop by the LSC table to introduce yourself to your counselor!

Junior Year, Summer
Review LSC's publications. Attend Lyndon's summer preview program.

Senior Year, Fall
Attend a college fair in your area... and stop by the LSC table to introduce yourself to your counselor! Meet with the admissions counselor who visits your high school. Attend an open house at LSC. Register for SAT/ACT if you plan to retake them. Begin the Lyndon application process. We are encouraging students to apply early-November (as soon as first quarter grades are received).

Senior Year, Winter
Register for SAT/ACT test if needed. Secure financial aid forms (FAFSA) from a guidance counselor. Complete and mail financial aid forms. The on-time deadline for LSC is mid-February. Be sure to have the completed FAFSA submitted by this date. You can also submit the FAFSA on-line. Remember — you need to be accepted to LSC before our financial aid office can send you a financial aid award letter. Attend an LSC Decision Day. Visit the college, submit your application and get a decision all in one day!

Haven't mailed your completed application yet?
Now is a good time!

Senior Year, Spring
Receive your financial aid award letter from the LSC Office of Financial Aid (only if you submitted your FAFSA and have been accepted by LSC). Pay your deposit. Though Lyndon employs a rolling admissions policy, the preferred payment date for deposits is May 1. After May 1, the $200 tuition deposit is nonrefundable. Will you be living on campus? Be sure to submit your $100 housing deposit at the same time as your tuition deposit, and don't forget to fill out a housing application!

Sign up for a SOAR session. This two-day program will introduce you to your LSC experience! Meet with your advisor, sign up for classes, and enjoy the campus.

Senior Year, Summer
Congratulations on your high school graduation! Relax and enjoy your summer! We'll see you at your SOAR session. Give us a call if we can help with anything, and welcome to Lyndon State College!
