Policy 311 - Sexual Harassment and Related Unprofessional Conduct

Campus Climate Purpose & Responsibilites
- To serve as a standing committee in an advisory capacity to the president in matters affecting tolerance, civility, respect for human rights, and diversity.
- To advise the president on the development and revision of policies, procedures, and programs to maintain a positive environment for teaching, learning, and living for all members of the campus community. To promote increased awareness among students, faculty, and staff of the importance of civility within the college
- To advise other college groups/committees, including student, faculty, and staff groups, on the development of educational programming and printed materials aimed at creating a positive and safe living, learning, and working environment.
- To advise appropriate college personnel and groups on issues of compliance with VSC policies on sexual harassment and sexual assault (VSC policies 311, 311A, and 355).
- To advise the campus Policy 311 Coordinator on the selection of contact persons.
